FISD Employee Named Caregiver of the Year(January, 2008)

Debbie Valderrama, a bus monitor on Frisco Independent School bus #525, is a busy person who in addition to working for Frisco schools, cares for her elderly father, Sid Mungia.

Valderrama was recently rewarded for her role as caregiver to her father by the Collin  County Committee on Aging at the Senior Center at Frisco Square. She was named Caregiver of the Year through the agency and Senior Select Home Health.

Karen Sadler, Director of FISD Transportation, commended Valderrama for her dual roles as monitor and caregiver.

“She is a wonderful person,” Sadler said.
