Liberty Students Contribute to Time Capsule (May, 2008)
Liberty High School celebrated the school’s first year in its new building with the burial of a time capsule recently, according to Patience LeBlanc, history teacher.
Included in the capsule were a Redhawk Band water bottle, the 06-07 Legacy yearbook, a megaphone and basketball tickets and a scrapbook preserved by the student council, and a LHS t-shirt donated by the front office staff.
Other items included team posters, programs, a signed softball and golf ball, and pictures of coaches, an Academic Decathlon medal and team roster, news articles from special educations and a script from the Theater classes, a copy of a Harry Potter novel from the library, a linoleum printmaking cut by Olsson from the advanced art class, a CD from broadcasting class, a DECA scrapbook and science club t-shirt, a lock it or lose it flyer from the school resource officer, and three pictures of works from the art department.
The National Honor Society included a program from the induction ceremony and its list of members. LeBlanc included a dedication program from the LHS dedication ceremony.
