Staley Students Place in Essay Contest (January, 2008)
Staley Middle School students, Joshua Carpp, 7th grade, and Yanett Heredia, 6th grade, took second and third place respectively in the local Patriot Pen contest.
Carpp received a $100 savings bond from American Bank and his essay will progress to the regional contest.
The Patriot Pen essay contest is sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
