FHS Graduate to Cover Iowa Caucus (December, 2007)

Jia Thomas, 2005 FHS graduate currently enrolled at Southern Methodist University, will be traveling to the caucus in Iowa, where she’ll be reporting and debriefing on live telecasts, as well as blogging for the national Fox News. She will be on of a team of four students from SMU. The work may also be used on the local Fox affiliate, Channel 4, according to her

former teacher Eva D. Coleman, broadcast journalism teacher at FHS.

Thomas is currently a Producer/Reporter for The Daily Update, the daily news show at SMU. She interned with CBS Channel 11 this past summer.  Thomas was a RACC-TV crew member during RACC-TV's first season. She is majoring in Broadcast Journalism at SMU.
