WHS Band Competes Well at UIL Region XXIV(April, 2008)

The Wakeland High School Bands recently competed in the UIL Region XXIV Concert and Sight Reading Contest at Centennial High School. The Symphonic Bandearned a I-I-I on Stage (straight 1st Division/Superior ratings) and a I-I-II in Sight Reading (1st Division/Superior ratings). The Wind Symphony earned a I-I-I on Stage (straight 1st Division/Superior ratings) and a I-I-I in Sight Reading (straight 1st Division/Superior ratings). This marks the schools second consecutive sweepstakes for the Wind Symphony.
