CTEC Culinary Arts & Graphic Design Students Create Kids Teaching Kids Cookbook

In 2009, Medical City Heart reached out to the Greater Dallas Restaurant Kids Teaching Kids CookbookAssociation, Frisco ISD CTEC, and Genghis Grill to come together to fight childhood obesity and produce KIDS Teaching KIDS, a cookbook that features snacks for children created by children that both meet the criteria of nutritionists as healthy, and also connect with children's imaginations to ensure that the food will be eaten and enjoyed again and again, facilitating a real and vital lifestyle change.  In addition to the Culinary Arts students, we involved the Graphics Design students at the CTEC to create the layout and design of the booklet further showcasing the creativity and imagination of our youth.
